During the summer months, the pristine nature in the Ahrn Valley invites you into the mountains, easy as well as demanding hiking, mountain and walking trails invite beginners and trained mountaineers alike. In the Ahrn Valley, the mountain trains Klausberg and Speikboden take hikers safely and comfortably to an elevation of 1.600 m.  Here nature lovers will find an Alpine hiking area with spectacular views of the 80 mountains over 3000 metres.

Skiing & Snowboarding

The Ahrntal has two high quality ski areas for skiers and snowboarders - the "Speikboden" (900 to 2400m) and the "Klausberg" (1050 to 2510m).

Whether you are a beginner, an experienced skier or an ambitious athlete - winter sportsfans will find the best ski conditions in the natural wonderland of the Ahrntal and Kronplatz the whole Winter through - and well past Easter.

The modern lifts at the Speikboden and Klausberg Ski Arenas carry skiers, carvers and boarders high up to 45km of racy slopes faraway from over-filled pistes.

One of South Tyrol's most famous ski areas - the Kronplatz, with 105km of slopes from 935 to 2275m, is reachable in just a few minutes by car and is certainly worth a visit!
